Just One Week Away!
Special Education Millage Renewal Election is next Tuesday!
On Tuesday, November 3, voters in our community and across each district within the region will vote on a proposed renewal of the COPESD special education millage.
If approved, the renewal would continue to generate nearly $3 million in annual funding dedicated to mandated Special Education services and programs.
These include things like:
Specialized instructional support
Classroom and behavioral supports
Early intervention services
Equipment for students with disabilities
Specialized transportation
Transition programming and postsecondary supports

The proposal is NOT a new tax. It would renew an existing millage that has helped support Special Education services and programs for students in the Cheboygan-Otsego-Presque Isle School Districts for the past 25 years.
